6th on 7th gallery

Located in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco, we work to provide supportive instruction for all members of the 6th Street Photography community – veterans, SRO residents, or anyone looking to enrich their life – by enabling photography to be a tool for creative expression, personal recovery, and self-development. At our public space on 105 7th Street, we host photography exhibits, guest shows, lectures, and workshops to create a safe environment where any member of the community can feel welcome to learn the tools of self-expression and visual language.

Build Affordable Faster

The mission of Build Affordable Faster is to fight for and with the poor, disadvantaged, and working people of our Golden state —elders, people of color, the unhoused, immigrants and families, in order to win affordable housing and build a strong safety net which supports the health, safety and well being of all Californians. Our project aims to engage organizers, advocates, and policy makers around legislation and ballot measures which address production and protection of affordable housing, our untenable wealth inequality and the health and economic well being of all Californians.
